In an exciting development for custom installers, Lithe Audio has integrated KNX users control over their Award-Winning Lithe Audio Pro Series Ceiling Speakers.
KNX is a worldwide standard for home and building control, based on wired and wireless communication protocols. It is designed to provide a single, open, and interoperable platform for all types of home and building automation, including lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, security, and energy management. KNX is a flexible system that can be easily adapted to different building sizes, types, and applications, and it has wide range of products from various manufacturers that are compatible with each other. It is widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings around the world.
Lithe Audio’s Pro Series speakers have received an upgrade, enabling seamless integration with KNX smart home systems. The installation of the Pro Series speakers, known for their ease of installation and exceptional audio quality, can now be integrated with KNX systems to retrofit architectural speakers into homes and commercial buildings.
The latest firmware upgrades to the Pro Series speaker for KNX include advanced features such as on-board memory alarms, chimes, and doorbell and intruder alert sounds. Additionally, KNX integration enables control of speaker functions such as play and pause, as well as streaming from multiple sources, including radio, podcasts, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music. The speakers can also be used for multi-room playback in up to five different zones.
The frameless design of the speakers makes them easy to blend in with any interior, as they protrude just 3mm from the ceiling. The magnetic grille covers can also be removed for cleaning or replacement with different colored finishes and can be painted to match the ceiling. To integrate the Pro Series speakers with KNX, users can utilize the BAB Technologie APPMODULE and the corresponding Smart Home App, “Lithe KNX Connect,” for full programmability and wireless connectivity.
